I saw the movie yesterday, enjoyed it greatly and I was particularly pleased to learn more about Nate Ruffin, who I knew professionally, mostly in the 1980s. I was a mid-level editor, and he was HR director at a newspaper in Jackson, Miss. On more than one occasion, Nate proved to be a man of sterling character. He knew that HR work was about more than filling jobs and shuffling paperwork. He cared about the "human" part of the equation ... and now I know a bit more why.

I was a sophmore at Pope Pius H.S.
in Passaic, NJ on the JV football
team at the time of the crash. We always dressed for varsity games on Sundays.
I remember our coaches trying to inspire us, and we all bowed our heads in prayer in the locker room for that Sunday's game.
Here's to all those players; the boys from NJ, especially starting QB Teddy Shoebridge from Lyndhurst.
I just saw the movie yesterday and was not disappointed. I've never been a very big fan of coach Bobby Bowden of Florida State, but came away from this movie with a much different opinion of the man. What
he did to help the new Marshall coaching staff and school was a CLASS ACT indeed. I was all wrong. Kudos to him.
For Jack Lengyel to take on that task was an AWFUL nice thing he did. And salutes to asst coach Red Dawson for staying one more year. They are both very gallant men indeed. THANX.
Nate ruffin is the most amazing man of all time. I saw the movie today and i want to go see his burial.
